We are excited to offer Coed Skills Centre Program designed for motivated players looking to improve their individual technical abilities, decision-making, confidence, and overall performance on the field.
Open to boys and girls of all playing levels, this program is intended for players who demonstrate a strong desire to learn, challenge themselves, and take their development seriously.
Sessions will be high-energy, demanding, and enjoyable, combining technical repetition, competitive exercises, and game-realistic situations. Players will be encouraged to step outside their comfort zones, embrace challenges as learning opportunities, and develop the confidence to perform under pressure.
Our objective is simple: help every player become more comfortable, confident, intelligent, and effective with and without the ball.
Meet Your Coach — Christian Hoefler
The program will be led by Christian Hoefler, Technical Director of Atlético Kingston FC, an experienced coach with an extensive background in youth development, university soccer, senior competitive soccer, and Canada's national team environment.
Christian brings a wealth of playing and coaching experience, including:
- CONCACAF Soccer A Diploma and UEFA B Coaching Licence (German Football Association – DFB)
- Ontario Soccer Technical Director Diploma
- Technical Director, Atlético Kingston FC, overseeing the club's technical philosophy, player pathways, coach development, and competitive programming
- Former Head Coach, Queen's University Men's Soccer, leading the program for 10 seasons
- Men's Head Coach, Kingston Sentinels, competing within Ontario's provincial soccer pathway
- Coaching and technical experience with Canada Soccer's Youth National Team programs, including international environments
- Former Canadian U17 National Team player, with provincial and national-level playing experience, including development opportunities in Europe
Christian's coaching philosophy emphasizes developing the complete player through technical quality, game intelligence, competitiveness, personal responsibility, and a genuine enjoyment of the game.
What Players Can Expect
- High-quality coaching with individualized feedback and encouragement.
- A demanding but positive training environment where effort, focus, and attitude matter.
- High repetitions and meaningful touches on the ball.
- Progressive technical challenges suited to different abilities.
- Competitive 1v1, 2v2, and small-sided game situations.
- Opportunities to improve decision-making under pressure.
- A strong emphasis on discipline, resilience, communication, and personal growth.
Our Expectations
This program is open to all ability levels, but it is not a casual recreational training environment.
Players do not need to be the most technically advanced to participate. However, they must arrive prepared to work hard, listen, compete, support others, and demonstrate a genuine commitment to improving.
We believe that attitude, effort, and consistency are within every player's control. By creating a challenging, supportive, and enjoyable environment, we aim to help players build habits that will benefit their development long after the six weeks are complete.

Example: 6-Week Technical Development Curriculum
The curriculum will follow Atlético Kingston FC's Game Model and player development philosophy, emphasizing the relationship between individual technical skills and their application in realistic game situations.
Week 1 — Ball Mastery & First Touch
Developing comfort and confidence on the ball through ball manipulation, receiving techniques, body orientation, and first-touch preparation. Emphasis on using both feet and preparing the next action.
Week 2 — Dribbling, Running with the Ball & 1v1 Attacking
Developing creativity, changes of speed and direction, ball protection, and the confidence to take on opponents. Recognizing when to dribble, combine, or accelerate into space.
Week 3 — Passing, Receiving & Combination Play
Improving passing quality, timing, movement to support, scanning, and decision-making. Introducing combinations such as wall passes, third-player movements, and playing through pressure.
Week 4 — Individual Defending & Winning the Ball
Developing defensive body shape, approach speed, pressing angles, patience, tackling techniques, and the confidence to compete in 1v1 situations. Emphasis on immediate reactions when possession is lost.
Week 5 — Finishing & Attacking Creativity
